A new obsession with pottery

Pottery:

After talking about it some time and obsessing over images on Instagram of beautiful ceramics, it was time to give it a go. I booked an adult education class nearby and committed to 10 weeks of learning the craft. Since starting the course we have learnt a number of techniques such as coiling, pinch potting, throwing and using moulds. My definite favourite has been coiling. This process involves making sausages of clay and coiling them around the base of your piece, it makes you feel like a kid playing with Play-Doh.

Have a look through the images to see what I managed to create in 10 weeks using the coiling technique.
